Anushka enrolled in Elite Model Management after graduating in the field and received training from Prasad Bidapa, the stylist consultant. In 2017, Anushka had her first modeling experience at the designer Wendell Roricks' Les Vamps Show at Lakme Fashion Week and was picked by him to be the last model in The Spring-Summer 2007 collection. After her modeling debut in Lakme Fashion Week Anushka did numerous campaigns for various brands, n she has done campaigns to promote the brand's Silk & Shine Whisper Nathella Jewelry and Fiat Palio etc. Anushka Sharma along with her modeling career, attended an acting class and started giving auditions for films. In 2008, Anushka Sharma began her acting career with the movie Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi alongside Shah Rukh Khan. She took one day to get ready for the screen test, and refused to perform an impromptu version. Then, she signed on for three films with Yash Raj Films. She was the wife of a young man of an older man in the film (the the same role Shah Rukh Khan played). The film was hit on the box office and was the second-highest-grossing movie of 2008. The year 2010 was the year that Anushka Sharma starred in the film "Badmash Co with Shahid Kapoor, and Shahid Kapoor. Das and Meiyang Chang. The movie got mixed reviews. Anushka was also seen with Ranveer in the film "Band Baaja Baaraat', in which she played an Punjabi middle-class girl who launched her own venture. This movie was well received and was later a sleeper. Anushka was able to complete the three film contract in partnership with Yash Raj Films.
